"This 'postcard' series I made for the 'store' at '1984' is hand silkscreened. At the time the media was filled with images of devastation from the civil war in Beirut. I noticed that it was the first war I'd seen in a modern city where infrastructure and contemporary building materials were blown open/apart: cement, rebar, electrical wires,etc.. Also I thought about how objects that we imbue with special meaning are devoid of value when they become battle debris." 2019 FFC,Roberta Chambers
