Letters from Paul.. during his time in Florida....

It is true that Paul and I spoke and clearly he wrote.. I do remember speaking with him on the phone, but those were the days when it was still expensive to use long distance.
So yes I was basically directing (feet on the ground) PMVI and clearly from the news and arts paper reporters.. did and excellent job. the future projects yield similar results.. so it was neither an accident or a fluke... As I am going through the materials myself for the first in a very long time I am finding myself thinking that the PMVI 1984 show had an effect on New Haven which could be compared to the Armory Show in 1913 in NYC. It would be unfortunate if the New Haven Museum missed the real significance and influence of what was seeded on Hamilton Street. Curious where you as the curator are on all of this.

These photo is of a number of letters Paul sent me during the time I was (co)directing PMVI. It is a little tricky to be  In the "Buy and Sell" Press Release it states that we were both directors of PMVI and that I had been with PMVI since it's beginnings. That seems to be somewhat distorted at this moment. But then again it appears I have been written out of PMVI'S history... if I am wrong about that.. please correct me..I certainly have the evidence of my committed involvement and many primary source materials to demonstrate it.

Oddly Paul seemed to want to speak with me about how history is made. There was a lot of complaining after a long academic career.
