"The benefit of an audiobook is that you can listen to it in the car or out walking: a couple of hours a day and you’ll do the whole of Proust in three months. But the pace of the prose is too measured to be easily accommodated to fast-paced living, and I suspect much will wash over readers who aren’t able to concentrate fully.
