Hi All,

Luna – thank you for connecting this group to me!

Bev, Adria, Miriam, & Jonathan,

I really enjoyed looking over the works and statements you’ve shared so far. I certainly like to connect about the possibility of showing your works in our space. Brief answers to your questions are below. Are you familiar with our space? Would you like to come by Riverside Park sometime in the next two or three weeks? Or we could get on the phone to talk further.

  1. When would the space be available to exhibit?
The current exhibit will be coming down in late March or early April. New works could be hung mid-April.

  2. How long would the show be on exhibit?
We generally host for a period of 3 months. If you hung in mid-late April, the work could be on show May-July.

  3. Who does the press release and media contacts?
Urban Ecology Center will promote on our social medias and website. You can submit a press release and do any additional promotions you would like.

  4. Who hangs the artwork?
Artists are responsible for hanging and removing their artwork. I’m available to assist as needed.

  5. Who is responsible for the Opening reception?
We would work together to coordinate and host the opening.

  6. Is the Artwork insured while it is on exhibit?
The artwork displayed in our building is insured. It’s worth knowing that this space is also used as a classroom and will be a homebase for our summer camps in June & July. That means plenty of students get a chance to appreciate the art! It also means there is a slightly higher chance of damage than in traditional exhibit spaces.

  7. Will Urban Ecology take a percentage if there are any sales made? if so what is that percentage?
Yes, we would request 20% of sale. We do not charge for visitors to attend the opening or view the works during showing period.

Please let me know if you have any other question.
